Tapas Patatas Bravas with spicy mayo, Chorizo Sausage with dash of honey & Sangria with fresh fruit

And good news is it's quite simple and tasty!!!

Recipe to make Patatas Bravas

You will be needing 2 kgs of potatoes for a family of 4 to have decent serving size

1. Cut medium size potatoes in 4 pieces and large size in 6

2. Boil potatoes in water in a deep pan, add 1 half tspn of paprika, 1 tspn of salt, and couple of bay leaves, let them boil half cooked

3. Drain water and let them cool on a room temperature

4. In a separate deep pan boil water and once it's hot add potatoes carefully and let them boil for about 15 to 20 mins until potatoes become firm from outside

5. Meanwhile Prepare spicy sauce using equal amount of mayo, sriracha and tomato sauce and add a pinch of paprika (if you don't want too spicy, use paprika instead of sriracha sauce or use less sriracha sauce)

6. Get potatoes out of oil carefully on a paper towel, let them sit for about 5 mins before serving

7. After 5 mins Enjoy!! patata Baravas with spicy mayo sauce

I have never tried cooking Spanish food, but after cooking my own Tapas I have learned if you keep it simple "It's quite simple", controlling cooking temperature is essential for a better tasting tapas. E.g. frying sausages on a high heat and then adding honey to enhance the taste on a lower temperature

How to make Chorizo sausage with a dash of honey

  1. I used 2 fresh chorizo pork sausages for this recipe, cut them in round pieces

  2. 2. Chop 1 red onion, in a pan take 2 tbsn of olive oil and fry onion then add sausages to fry on high heat, add a pinch of paprika.

  3. Lower the heat and add 1 tbsn of honey and mix well

  4. Enjoy with any fresh crusty bread

Making my own sangria drink was fun, for this recipe I needed 1 bottle of Sangria wine, half granny smith apple chopped in small pieces, half lemon sliced and 1 orange sliced and handful of grapes or fresh berries

Mix them all in a jar and let them sit for few hours in fridge, serve chilled and Enjoy!
